Roads were better in the old South Africa. There were less potholes, mainly because there were less trucks around due to trade sanctions, and less cars around due to reasons you can find elsewhere.
You could drive from Durban to Jo'burg (off season) without using your brakes - Except to pee, and fill up on petrol or biltong. What was the name of THAT biltong place en route?
